It's about time that I present you with a snippet of Christmas Gone Wild 2010. We are thrilled to be celebrating full-throttle this year after a slew of, let me just say it, crummy Christmases in a row. D and I showed Noemi photos of last Christmas, her first year with us, and we were reminded just how lame-o we felt. Um, can you say puffy eyes? Yikes. And puffy eyes from the year before that? Check. Too many loved ones suffering and passing on before us, too many sleepless nights with our transitioning baby, too many oil furnace puff-backs in a row destroying personal items, too much on-going construction in the place we live... oh, my. So glad to be in a new year with a fresh perspective. In celebration of the optimism that this year brings after shoddy Christmas pasts, we actually got off of our rear-ends and got a tree. The first in 5 years. Cheer abounds and we couldn't be having more fun. Just today I caught myself belting out holiday radio favorites with Noemi. Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey? Hated it last year...slightly obsessed this year.
We're covered in greens, cookies, nativity scenes, glitter, paint, sprinkles and "pretty lights" here in the Witmer household. Heck, we even made tasty ornaments that we hung in our bush in the backyard for the birds (ok, well, actually the squirrels). I draw the line at granting Noemi's wish for the gigantic blow-up Micky and Minnie dressed as Santa lawn ornaments, but we're still celebrating large.

making star ornaments...purple, of course."more glitter, please. more glitter"
picking out our tree

Only one ornament was sacrificed in the decorating of our tiss-miss-tee."Noemi do it, Noemi do it self!"
Gingerbread lady-decorating fest with cousin Anna at Nana's house
singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus, unprompted
not sure what she was trying to communicate with this pose...
feeding the hungry animals (and a wise man) some pretzelsAnd now...because I love showing the world my undergarments...
From our home to yours, have a blessed Christmas!

So sweet...even in your bra. My daughter is obsessed with mine as well (just so you feel better).
I'm praying we're feeling the way you do next year. Our transition with our twin boys has been pretty rough this last month or so. Praying we can all enjoy next Christmas without the "over stimulation / gimmies / melt down / ungratefulness" that has filled our home this year!
Oh my goodness, I can't believe how much she is talking! What a little cutie.
I hope you guys have such a fun and special Christmas together this year :)
I'm a lurker and never comment but seriously couldn't resist the bra video. Hilarious and adorable. So glad that this Christmas is more festive. Thank you, Julie, for being so transparent. I truly am often moved by your posts. Love to you and yours.
So glad you shared that video, it is priceless! Love to you all.
the bra is killin' me!!!!
I know she is wearing your bra, but the butter phone cracked me up! What a little chatter box!
