Donovan and I took Noemi to the PA Farm Show this past weekend to meet some of the most ginormous cows I have ever seen. She was so fascinated by being able to toddle right up to the cows and pet them, that she was still saying "mooooooooo" when we later introduced her to the chickens, horses, rabbits and sheep.

Even though the Farm Show was a highlight of our weekend, the bigger news is that Noemi took her first steps as we were getting ready to head out for the show. She walked three shaky steps with a broad smile--walking from Donovan to me. And then she did it again and again and again, laughing as she fell into our arms. We raced to get the camera, but she had tuckered out by that point. I'm so thankful that we were both home to be a part of her first steps. We already feel like we missed out on so much; so it was especially touching to be witness to such a major milestone. We don't have any video of her attempting to walk just yet, but I don't think she's going to turn back now. There will be plenty of opportunities to record our motor baby.

Congratulations Noemi! Walking!!!Wow! How wonderful that she had the perfect audience for her first...momma and daddy!!! yay!!! How special for you! I too was just thinking how far she has come! That video of her with the chips made me giggle! Such a smart girlie!!!
Guys, this is akin to the county 4-H fair or Indiana State Fair, of which I wholeheartedly approve. However, my dearest wife, Rachie, swears that our kids will never go near anything where the 4 and the H are next to each other! She might allow the kids to go to see animals, but will most certainly make fun of me the entire time. She is so Scranton.
