And Then There Were Three

We're home. Pooped, but what a magical ride to unite with our little monster. The quick update is that Noemi was one sick puppy for the first half of our trip. She is doing much better now, but Donovan and I are now sick. We could easily blame the kid, but I think it is fair to say that stress, exhaustion, altitude changes and conditions in Ethiopia contributed to our fevers/ear infections/bronchitis as well. We have received so many calls, emails and other correspondences that we have not returned because we are just plain spent. But we love you are and are thankful for so many people who are eager to hear about our sweet girlie pie. Noemi is just dear and we are thrilled to see her smiling, giggling and playing now. What joy.

Updates to come. But for now, sleep. If she'll let me.

Welcome home! Such a cute pic!! I got bronchitis in ET too... hmmm... I wonder if it's pretty common.

Rest and enjoy your sleep. I can't wait to hear more when you're able to share :)

Take your time to slow down and be sick and get over being sick. having a baby is always about slow moments. They seem to take your former productive life and poor molasses all over it. Nothing gets done but so much is given - in joy, joy, joy.

Like Erin said... take your time. We'll all be here when you're well and rested and have had time to adjust. Noemi is beautiful. Looking forward to hearing all the stories about your trip...
